Neilson earned his Juris Doctor from the Shepard Broad College of Law at Nova Southeastern University. While completing his legal studies, he worked as a Judicial Assistant to the Honorable Judge Lisa Porter, gaining hands-on experience in trial preparation, motion practice, and courtroom procedure. This early exposure to the judicial system shaped his practical, detail-driven approach to litigation.
Prior to joining Consumer Advocacy Law Group, Neilson served with a national personal injury firm and a Fortune 500 regional law practice, where he honed his litigation skills, handled complex injury claims, and achieved more than $24 million in client recoveries. Over the course of his career, he has represented more than 1,000 clients in automobile collisions, commercial trucking accidents, premises liability matters, rideshare incidents, and traumatic brain injury claims. His work has included developing litigation strategies, negotiating complex settlements, and guiding clients through every stage of the claims process.
A U.S. Navy veteran, Neilson brings discipline, focus, and a strong sense of duty to his advocacy. He has also served his community through volunteer work with Legal Aid of North Carolina, the Mecklenburg County Bar’s Young Lawyers Division, and Habitat for Humanity. His commitment to fairness and procedural integrity informs his consumer-protection work today, where he is dedicated to helping individuals navigate overwhelming disputes and ensuring they receive clear, strategic guidance.
Neilson is licensed to practice law in North Carolina, Missouri, Illinois, and Wisconsin.
